Make no effort to become funny
I'm not sure about the goal of becoming funny. That implies going to clown school, all us serious people struggling to become bad comics. We'd come up against the natural scarcity of humor and fail.

Instead, as I've proposed, we accept our serious condition, and apply it to the absurd project of making the world funny, of promoting the mbf philosophy. We maintain the dramatic tension between our serious selves and our funny ideals, and make no effort to become funny ourselves.
