Serious argument for mbf
Must be funny is the
rule for extracting us from seriousness and advancing to the
fourth level of development, the fourth stage, the Aquarian age.
The new age will be funny.
Of course the new agers are serious, and want to advance to god-consciousness right away. That's the fifth level or bliss plane, as they'll tell us. The fourth level is conveniently ignored.
What is the fourth level? It's been called the causal and the wisdom plane. That suggests that we wise up and start causing things to come out right, instead of being clueless victims. We aren't through with earth school. We have a lot to do to get out of our current messes and create heaven on earth, to demonstrate that we're fit for higher things.
Why aren't we doing this? We don't know how. Wisdom eludes us. Our best efforts come to naught. Since we don't know how to get to fourth level, we ignore it. Here we are a few years into the new millennium, and we haven't a clue.
Here's the clue: must be funny.

Must it be funny?
These astrological ages
usually last 2000 years, and 2000 years of funniness may be more
than we can stand on the way to divinity, enough to reject the
idea immediately.
I don't know if it will be funny that long. Funny has no plans, no future. It must be present.
Funny is an escape route from serious world. While we're escaping, funny is everything. It requires total focus and commitment. It gets us to the next level. We understand this from adventure games.
When we reach for level four
we're moving closer to the bliss of level five, and indeed enjoy
more of the divine energy. That fulfills our quest for the divine.
The two are not at odds.

Quantum thought
Ever since Schroedinger half-sacrificed a cat in a brutal thought
experiment, we have understood that the quantum world is at base
uncertain, a coexistence of true and false, which is sometimes
resolved by observation.
Jokes depend on ambiguity. Is this story true or false? Does it lead to A or B? Not until the punch line do the elements fall into place.
Ambiguity itself is a joke. Is this a hoax or for real? If the uncertainty is never resolved, we have a running joke in the coexistence of the two opinions.
Quantum physics and funny thinking
seem to be following the same principles. Could the universe
be a cosmic joke?

Quantum thought
The joke lives on ambiguity,
maintaining multiple possibilities. Must be funny is the consciousness
of the new age, the key to heaven on earth, or it's a bogus parody
of same.
My problem as a serious person is I demand to be certain of the truth in my own mind. This is death to comedy, and violates the principle that there is only one message for me and for others.
Can I maintain both possibilities in my mind? Must be funny is true, and it's a false and funny joke. Both are possible success stories, and the joke comes first. It doesn't have to be true. My life is not ruined if it's only a joke.
The gambler accepts both possibilities, of winning or losing, and believes in winning, though also prepared to be wrong. I'm a gambler with two winning outcomes.
I've been too invested in the truth. I need to embrace the joke possibility, where mbf is just a story, made up for entertainment. If nobody believes it, then my truth is indeed irrelevant, and the joke is everything. As a gambler, I should invest in the joke, believe in the joke, live the joke.
The truth is there as material and ambiguity, but should never prevail, since that would end the joke. The truth can be spun with energy and passion, as fodder for the joke. In that sense my investment in the truth is OK. My own mind now embraces both possibilities, that my message is believable and that it will turn out to be a joke.
What if mbf is believed, with
sincere followers, laughed at by the world? Mbf as truth will
always be a minority position surrounded by disbelief. Even as
truth, it tells us our highest purpose is to play jokes on the
world. We also have a self-serving internal corruption joke,
where the core players disbelieve and take advantage of the believers.

That's the maximum claim:
salvation, answer to everything, higher consciousness, the next
stage of evolution, heaven on earth. Of course, nobody will believe
that.

Funny money matching funds
Funny money is generated
at brainstorming sessions, and invested in funny ideas and projects.
The top projects then attract matching funds from patrons or
participants.
The mechanics of funny money are still experimental, and the first sessions are about developing the process rather than products. Here's a draft:
We get $100/hr to invest and we also give money to anybody who makes us laugh. Then we write all our funny ideas and projects on funny money and invest our money in them, by writing our names and amounts on the back in pencil, so we're free to shift our investment around. Then we combine our funny ideas to increase the joint investment. For example, they may form a theme for a funny party.
For a project to go ahead it needs additional investment of materials, funds and labor (at $100/hr), which may be informal or written down with the other investments or handled any number of ways.
Donors don't have to wait for projects - they can invest in a funny. If it says exactly what they support, their investment will find its way into the right projects.
We can learn the system with small events and projects. Larger and ongoing projects may need ongoing support. Donors can support for any arbitrary reason, but matching the funny money investments is a good strategy.
1. It strengthens funny money, as investors see it generating real money.
2. It expands the artistic judgement from the donor to everybody involved.
3. Large donors can move more cash with less decision-making effort.
4. Matching funds stimulate the growth of the funny money economy.
This links serious money to funny money, which could be a danger. The rule is funny first. Funny money leads. It's the primary value. Serious money comes in later, in a support role. Then growth is humor-based and not trying to fit a business model.9686

offers protection in such trying circumstances: make it funny.
There's a temptation to seek
the bliss directly and do nothing else, but that won't last.
Mbf says turn my back and go for funny, and that keeps things
moving.

Funny escape from bliss
Funny is not only an
escape from seriousness. It also offers protection against outbreaks
of happiness, joy, love and bliss. These are irresponsibly offered
by competing religions. And every day people fall in love, leading
to serious trouble.
These dangerous emotions can
be defused by making them funny. Then we can laugh them away
before anybody gets hurt. The funny mission is not only to those
stuck in seriousness, but those unhinged by love and bliss. Mbf
offers a recovery path in either case.

Funny promotion of bliss
Mbf condemns love and
happiness (9702), or so it seems at first. We want to
tear it down and make it funny. That makes all this forbidden
stuff food for funny. We put it to use, look for more of it.
Take it another step: We can
afford more bliss if we can make it funny. Mbf is actually an
enabler and promoter of love and happiness, before tearing it
down.

Combine must be funny with must
be happy?
I attended two presentations
by Happy Oasis, peddling bliss, but she was actually pretty funny.
You can't sell bliss, or give it away, but funny works. So I
said, what if we combine must be happy with must be funny? That
was May 27th. She said yes, let's do a funny festival.
On June 7th I had a powerful vision of combining with Happy, which got me moving on a pilgrimage to Spruce Mountain on the 10th by bicycle, 2200' climb in ten miles.
Yes, the guru was on the mountain
top, at her lookout job. Past the locked gate, past the CLOSED
sign, I was one of the few pilgrims who made it through, and
won a two-hour packed conversation of wisdom and discovery and
laughter that just flowed.

Funny cocktail
Happy
Oasis represents the level above funny, and the two are combined
2:1, so funny is only one-third of this cocktail, and I need
help and direction from her realm, so I greedily absorbed all
I could.
